Dane Key Appears in 247's First Class of 2022 Rankings

Not a whole lot is happening in the world of football recruiting. To pass the time in self-quarantine, the fine folks at 247 Sports have compiled their initial rankings for rising juniors in the class of 2022.
In the first edition of the class of 2022’s Top 247, Frederick Douglass wide receiver Dane Key is ranked No. 187 overall. Good enough for an initial four-star ranking, Key is considered the 20th-best athlete in his class.

The son of former Wildcat Donte Key, Dane picked up scholarship offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Oregon, Marshall and Western Kentucky during his sophomore season. Key helped Douglass advance to the 5A state championship game and made an appearance on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
