DeAndre Liggins, workout warrior

by:Thomas Beisner10/21/10
As a player who came to Lexington with quite a bit of hype surrounding him and one who finally seemed to piece things together late last season, there are some serious expectations for DeAndre Liggins, now an upperclassman and leader.  Coach Cal even said this summer that he hopes that he's able to leave early for the NBA after this season, which made many people scratch their head.  Of course, if what Coach Cal said today is any indication, there's been significant improvement this off-season for the Kentucky junior.  Calipari said that Liggins made 66 three-pointers in a five-minute drill, which is the most he's ever had a player make at any of his previous coaching stops.  It's also exactly 40 more than he's made in his entire career.  Who would have thunk it?  DeAndre Liggins, deep threat?
