Decision date is in for class of 2023 athlete Ty Bryant

Kentucky Football could be on the verge of receiving its first class of 2023 commitment.
Ty Bryant, a three-star athlete from Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington, KY, will announce his college destination on Thursday, August 19, his father, Cisco Bryant, tells KSR. The announcement will come at 4 p.m. inside of Frederick Douglass High School.
A 6-foot, 175-pound multi-positional talent mainly used as a defensive back, Bryant recently reclassified from 2022 to 2023 not long ago, as he does not turn 17 until later this month.
Class of 2023 ATH and big-time Kentucky target, Ty Bryant (@Ty_Bryant32) will make his college decision on August 19 at 4pm in Frederick Douglass HS, his father tells me.
The decision was initially scheduled for his 17th birthday on August 18 but has been pushed back a day.

Primarily recruited by associate head coach Vince Marrow, Bryant received his offer from Kentucky all the way back in January of 2020, just his second from a Divison I program. Since then, he’s hauled in offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Tennessee, Maryland, West Virginia, Kansas, and Western Kentucky, among others.
He was already considered a three-star prospect and a top 10 player from the state of Kentucky as a member of the 2022 class, but his value has only increased with the reclassification. 247 Sports has Bryant tabbed as the seventh-best Kentucky recruit from the class of 2023.

Both 247 Sports and Rivals have logged predictions for Bryant to choose the Wildcats. There is a very good chance Bryant winds up as the first class of 2023 commit for the coaching staff.
The reasoning goes beyond his close proximity to the campus, too. Bryant’s father, Cisco, played three seasons for UK at wide receiver under former head coach Jerry Claiborne from 1983-85. Additionally, Frederick Douglass High School has already produced a couple of current Kentucky players such as freshmen Dekel Crowdus and Jager Burton. Bryant is also good friends with a majorly important class of 2022 recruit from Douglass, four-star wide receiver Dane Key, as the two have played baseball and football together for years.
It’s time to get the class of 2023 rolling and keeping Bryant home would be a fantastic start.
