Yet another wide receiver has decided to enter the transfer portal for Kentucky, this time in senior DeMarcus Harris. The fourth-year pass-catcher, who has one year left of eligibility as a graduate transfer, hit the portal on Monday.

Harris appeared in 27 games for the Wildcats, catching 30 passes for 327 yards and a touchdown during his time in Lexington. This season, the 6-foot-1 receiver caught four balls for 90 yards, including one catch for 58 yards vs. Youngstown State.

Harris, a former three-star prospect out of Vero Beach, FL, was the No. 209 overall receiver in the 2019 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On the same day, sophomore wide receiver Chauncey Magwood announced he would be entering the portal on December 5, the first day for underclassmen to join.

“First and foremost God, thank you for blessing me with the talents to play this sport. I would like to thank the University of Kentucky for everything it has done for me and all the lessons I have learned throughout my time here. I am forever grateful for my time at Kentucky. I would like to thank Coach Stoops, Coach Woody and the rest of the coaching staff for giving me an opportunity to play the game I love. I will never forget any of the moments I have spent here. These years have been filled with countless memories that will only better me in the future.

“Now it’s time for me to continue my journey and find the best place for me. I will be entering the portal with two years left of eligibility.”

Magwood’s announcement comes after the sophomore hinted at a potential breakup with the school on Sunday, just one day after the Wildcats’ victory over Louisville.

“It’s been real #BBN,” Magwood wrote on Twitter.

Magwood played in 12 games for the Wildcats in 2022, finishing the regular season with 104 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions, good for 14.9 yards per catch. His two biggest games of his career came against Florida and South Carolina this season, finishing with 47 yards on two catches vs. the Gators and 37 yards on two catches vs. the Gamecocks.

He didn’t register a reception after Kentucky’s midseason victory over Mississippi State back in October.

A former three-star wide receiver out of Leesburg, Ga., Magwood originally selected the Wildcats over Florida State, Louisville, Nebraska, Arkansas and South Carolina in the 2021 class.

Shortly after Magwood hinted at a potential transfer on Sunday, redshirt freshman receiver Chris Lewis did the same, tweeting “It was fun while it lasted #BBN.”

Lewis registered just two catches for 22 yards and a touchdown in 2022, scoring on a two-yard reception vs. Youngstown State back in September.

The Pleasant Grove, Ala. native originally committed to Kentucky over Notre Dame, Louisville, Oregon, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Nebraska, among other offers in the class of 2021. He was also a three-star prospect.
