Details of Vince Marrow's new contract released

Vince Marrow is officially a million dollar man.
Kentucky Sports Radio reported just after the start of the New Year that Marrow received a three-year extension worth more than a million dollars annually. Today we learned exactly what’s inside his new deal.
Marrow will make $1.1 million per year beginning in 2022. His salary will increase $100,000 per year through the 2024 season. Derek Terry of The Cats Pause was the first to uncover the contractual details.
The new deal for the Big Dog makes him one of the nation’s highest-paid position coaches. In addition to leading Kentucky’ recruiting efforts, he’s the associate head coach, tight ends coach and NFL liaison.
Mark Stoops now has three million-dollar assistant coaches. This offseason defensive coordinator Brad White agreed to an extension worth $1.4 million, and offensive coordinator Liam Coen earned a new deal that mirrors Marrow’s.

Marrow put in extra work to earn his latest contract extension. This offseason he won one of the longest recruiting battles in UK football history, securing the signature of Kiyaunta Goodwin the day after the start of the Early Signing Period. Marrow spent more than five years recruiting Goodwin, the highest-ranked signee in school history. The recruiting win over Michigan State started a rivalry of sorts with its head coach, Mel Tucker.
The Big Dog was busy working this weekend, hosting dozens of recruits for UK Junior Day, the unofficial kickoff to the 2023 recruiting cycle. The only remaining assistant coach from Stoops’ original staff, next year will be his tenth season in Lexington.
