But Kentucky still isn't among the schools to have extended an offer, and Allen plans to consider all options, even if John Calipari calls with good news in the near future. In speaking with Allen's AAU coach, Steve Quattrocchi, KSR learned Allen plans to narrow his list next month. If Kentucky offers within that time frame, the Cats will almost certainly make the cut. But don't expect an immediate commitment, as some have insinuated. Allen plans to use up all five of his official visits to make the best decision for him. He considers his recruitment wide open at this point and he has been very impressed by some of his unofficial visits to schools outside of the Bluegrass. He hopes to get the coveted UK offer soon, but he won't rush into a commitment if and when it comes. John Calipari saw Allen play for the first time last Thursday in a game Allen led in scoring with 30 points. UK assistants Joel Justus and Tony Barbee were also around to see the Pendleton County star light up the scoreboard with 26 points per game throughout the event. With Allen expected to shoot up the rankings and Cal finally getting to see him in person, now is the time for the Cats to offer him a spot.
