Drew Barker Doesn't Disappoint at 'Elite 11'

barker   Drew Barker hasn't stopped recruiting since he committed to Kentucky; it's easy to get lost while he is 'makin moves', but do not forget that he is still working everyday to improve his game. Yesterday Barker took his talents to this Region's Elite 11 Camp in Columbus, OH. Elite 11 Camps give QBs the chance to receive national exposure while improving their game with former NFL QBs like Jordan Palmer and Trent Dilfer. Donning UK blue shorts during the drills, Barker proved that he IS worth the hype.  While we normally spurn @Mengus22, he wrote a nice piece for SB Nation covering Barker's progress at the camp.
Working with the same group that had several of the best quarterbacks in it, Barker was one of a handful of that was able to show off his arm strength despite the windy conditions. Barker effortlessly threw the ball, was as accurate as just about anyone (given the conditions), and showed his ability to throw accurately and consistently while rolling or on the run.
Even though Drew has some improving to do with his footwork, all in attendance left impressed. The day ended with the 'best of the best' competing in one last drill called the 'Pressure Cooker'. He did so well during the high intensity event, that Trent Dilfer had to give him a celebratory chest bump afterwards. While getting a chest bump from a balding beaut is an accomplishment in itself, Barker achieved his goals by becoming the 16th QB to be officially invited to the National Elite 11 Camp in Oregon. Drew isn't slowing down anytime soon.    You can check out the full SB Nation article here, and while you're at it, go ahead and follow me on Twitter @RoushKSR.
