Erik Daniels goes 7th overall in D-League draft

by:Thomas Beisner11/09/08
The NBA D-League held it's annual draft on Friday and former Kentucky forward Erik Daniels was chosen 7th overall by the Erie BayHawks.  Daniels, who has spent time with the Sacramento Kings in the past, has spent the last two seasons playing (quite well) in Italy and Spain.  Daniels joined other former SEC stars Chris Richard, Jermareo Davidson and Derrick Byars in the top 10. If you're a real basketball nerd like me, take some time to go through the list of guys drafted into the D-League this year and take a trip down memory lane.  From failed McDonald's All-Americans (Mohamed Abukar) to college stars of over a decade ago (Kris Clack) to local familiars (Russellville's Tony Key) the list of drafted players is quite the fun read.
