Which means the long offseason has finally come to an end and the real fun starts to tip-off. Most notably, the Los Angeles Lakers held a highly-publicized media day earlier on Friday, featuring the teams two main stars, LeBron James and newcomer Anthony Davis, along with the always learning mind of Rajon Rondo. And they had a lotttttt to say. Here's everything I could find from the mouths of the two former Kentucky stars (with a bit of LeBron sprinkled in) as they prepare for one of the most important seasons in Lakers history.

Davis is ready to play center

https://twitter.com/LakersSBN/status/1177697346903269376 Davis has been on record stating that he does not want to play the five (center) and that he works best playing at forward. While that might be true, the Lakers aren't in any position to be picky about who plays what position. Without DeMarcus Cousins and with Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee as the team's only other centers, there was going to reach a point where Davis had to suck it up and move down to the block, battling against other bigs. Now it appears that he's finally accepted that reality.

But he doesn't want to do any more movies

LeBron repeats that the offense will run through Davis

https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/1177661388619051008 This was a sentiment he spoke into existence earlier in the offseason, but now LeBron - at 34-years old - is doubling down on it. He's also very much looking forward to being able to play alongside Davis the basketball player, but also growing next to Davis the person. https://twitter.com/NBATV/status/1177664276682592256 It's also nice to know that Davis and LeBron are always going to have some backup, even if it is in the form of a pudgy Jared Dudley. https://twitter.com/NBA_Skits/status/1177699102605348865

Rondo says the Lakers hardest competition this year is... the Lakers...

https://twitter.com/NotoriousOHM/status/1177691304983056385 Because of course he did.

He's also a big fan of fellow point guard Alex Caruso (and obviously Davis and LeBron)

https://twitter.com/LakersReporter/status/1177690221611077632 There is a good chunk of Lakers fans in favor starting the younger (yet balder) Caruso as the team's starting point guard. And while no decision has been made on the team's starting lineup, Rondo has apparently impressed. https://twitter.com/NotoriousOHM/status/1177654830069764101

Rondo thinks LeBron is the greatest point guard of all-time

https://twitter.com/CoachCarson/status/1177701084334149632 This also happened... https://twitter.com/shaqtin/status/1177687940153126914 Here is our protagonist trying to figure out what the hell is inside this box. https://twitter.com/michaeljduarte/status/1177697234936184832 Finally, here is the NBA's latest power couple. https://twitter.com/Lakers/status/1177666084469497856 https://twitter.com/FirstTeam101/status/1177670296763092994 This is an odd Big 4...
