Lexington native Dekel Crowdus will not finish his career with the hometown Kentucky Wildcats. The former four-star, top-300 recruit has entered the transfer portal after three seasons at UK.

He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

“Thank you to BBN and my coaches for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my journey,” Crowdus said. “Your mentorship has been invaluable, shaping me both as an athlete and an individual. … With that being said, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.”

Crowdus finishes his career with just four catches for 82 yards across 20 games — 10 apiece in 2022 and 2023.

The No. 293 overall prospect and No. 43 wide receiver in the 2021 On3 Industry Ranking, Crowdus originally chose the Wildcats over Louisville, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor, South Carolina and Virginia Tech, among others.

Now, the 5-10, 180-pound pass-catcher will be looking for a new home away from his hometown of Lexington.
