Former Scott County Star Bryan Hudson Enters Transfer Portal

Virginia Tech Athletics
A former UK recruit and Kentucky all-state offensive lineman is looking for a new home.
Wednesday afternoon Bryan Hudson entered his name into the transfer portal. Last season as a true freshman he started in 10 games at center for Virginia Tech, who ended the year with a loss to Kentucky in the Belk Bowl. In 2020 he earned two starts at right guard, playing in eight of the Hokies’ ten games.
A 6-foot-4 310-pound interior offensive lineman, Hudson was a first team all-state selection at Scott County High School in 2018. There he was also a standout track athlete, winning three state championships in the discus and four in the shot put; his throw of 63 feet, 9.5 inches is a Class 3A record. The 247 Sports Composite ranked Hudson as the No. 197 player overall and No. 12 offensive guard in the 2019 recruiting class.
Could Hudson end up at Kentucky? It’s possible. After all, one of his youth football teammates, Jager Burton, did just join the Big Blue Wall.
