Back in May, Kenny Brooks and the staff offered 2026 four-star guard Whitley Rogers, the No. 56 overall prospect in Rivals’ recruiting rankings. Her recruitment has started to ramp up over the last several weeks, especially now that she’s got an official visit set for NC State this September.

However, Rogers told KSR that she also wants to visit Kentucky this fall. Whether there is an exact date set or not is unknown right now, but regardless, she will for a fact be in Lexington at some point in the coming months.

“It’s been great [talking with Kentucky],” the 2025 Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year said. “I really like talking to the coaches. I’ll be taking a visit there in the fall, so I’m excited to keep growing the relationship and seeing what’s there.”

So far, the conversations between both sides haven’t gone too far in-depth. Mainly, they’ve just learned about each other here in the early stages of her recruitment.

“We’ve just been getting to know each other,” Rogers mentioned. “I tell them about me, they tell me about them. So, it’s really just been like that.”

When she eventually decides it’s time for to her commit to whatever program, it’ll be because she feels that they have that family-type atmosphere that an incoming freshman would like to be welcomed into.

“I’m big on relationships and family atmospheres. I’d say like a team that’s like family that plays together, works together, and somewhere where I can go make an impact immediately.”

So, when can we expect a commitment from Rogers? The early signing period? Later on? Well, she doesn’t quite know yet. She’s going to do her due diligence and visit a number of schools before making her final choice.

“I’m not for sure [when I want to commit], but I’ll be taking visits all throughout the fall, and then after those, I’ll probably make a decision.”

Rogers averaged 24.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals per game for Little Rock Christian Academy this past high school season, and she ranks seventh on the 17U Nike EYBL circuit in points per game (16.9) for Tennessee Flight.
