With no live sports to watch, how about some esports? Immanuel Quickley, Kevin Knox, and Zan Payne are just a few of the current and former Kentucky Wildcats taking part in the first-ever UK Twitch Tournament April 10-14. Global esports organization Gen.G and UK are teaming up to put on the tournament, which will bring together current, former and future students, as well as alumni and fans to play NBA2K via Twitch.

The Selection Show is tonight at 5 p.m. and can be seen on UK’s Twitch channel. Sixty-four players will be randomly selected based on all skill levels and online connectivity. Registration opened on April 1 and has exceeded UK’s goals by more than 400%.

Here is the schedule for the tournament:

  • Selection Show: Tuesday, 4/7 at 5 pm ET
  • Round of 64: Friday, 4/10 at 5 pm ET
  • Round of 32: Saturday, 4/11 at 5 pm ET
  • Round of 16 & Round of 8: Monday, 4/13 at 5 pm ET
  • Round of 4 & Championship: Tuesday, 4/14 at 5 pm ET

We’ll bring you the bracket once it’s available.

ICYMI, over the weekend, Devin Booker advanced but DeMarcus Cousins was eliminated from ESPN’s NBA2K Tournament. Maybe Boogie can join UK’s?
