Former Kentucky tight end C.J. Conrad will not get a week to work out in front of NFL Scouts.
On the second day of practice for the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Florida, Conrad suffered a shoulder injury. KSR sources confirmed that Conrad has returned to Lexington to receive treatment from UK physicians. The shoulder sprain is considered a minor injury. Conrad will return to pre-Draft training next week is expected to be 100 percent healthy at the NFL Combine in late February.
The play in question that caused the injury was almost a miraculous catch. Conrad was fully extended on a deep route, but could not reel in the reception.

Conrad enters the draft after setting career-highs in receptions (30) and receiving yards (318) in 2018.
Walter Football ranks Conrad is the No. 8 tight end prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft.
