Isaiah Briscoe purchases bodega in New Jersey

@zaaay_
Former Kentucky guard Isaiah Briscoe is making business moves.
This weekend, Briscoe announced he had purchased La Placita Bodega in his hometown of Newark, New Jersey.
“We used to fight for building blocks! Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killin,” Briscoe said. “I am officially the owner of La Placita Bodega in Newark, NJ located on 6-16 Norfolk Ave.
“Expect big things in the future, the best is yet to come!”
For those unfamiliar, bodegas are small owner-operated convenience stores most commonly found on New York’s street corners. Known for their bright colors and character, the “bodega” name is derived from the Spanish word for “storeroom” or “wine cellar”.

Here were a few other pictures from Briscoe:
Prior to his days as a bodega owner, Briscoe had various stints in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic before making numerous stops overseas. Most recently, Briscoe signed a deal with King Szczecin of the PLK back in February.
As he continues to pursue his basketball career, the former Wildcat will now juggle his own store in his hometown.
Briscoe isn’t a businessman, he’s a business, man.
