The nation’s top guard finally has a decision date (and time).

Earlier today, on his Instagram story, Jadem hardy alluded that he would be announcing on May 15th…at 3:00 AM ET. Fortunately, that is NOT the case.

Jaden Hardy took to Twitter today to clarify that he will be announcing his decision at 9:30 PM ET on his Instagram Live.

Hardy, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Detroit, Michigan, is considered a consensus top-three prospect in the class of 2021, with ESPN and Rivals, both listing Hardy as the No. 2 overall prospect in the class, will choose between the G-Leauge, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon, Arizona State, and of course, Kentucky.

The expectation is that Hardy will go pro.

One upon a time Hardy was a near-lock to end up at Kentucky, so much so that he attended a Kentucky practice when Kentucky made their road trip all the way back in 2019.

“They say that their best shooters shoot the ball, and they see me as a shooter,” Hardy told KSR back in December of 2019. “They think I can come in there and make an impact right away. … Kentucky is recruiting me really hard.”

However, as the world turns so does the mind of an 18-year old star-guard.

It could be the case that Kentucky put the full-court press on Hardy after the departure of Devin Askew and Nolan Hickman, or maybe Mick Cronin and UCLA’s tournament run inspired Hardy to believe in the Bruins. Or, maybe Jaden Hardy’s relationship with Joel Justus is so much so that he wants to be a Sun Devil.

Who knows, I’m just spitballing here. I guess we’ll all find out on his Instagram in roughly 23 hours.

Cross your fingers and watch some highlights to pass the time.
