The NBA Draft Lottery isn’t until May 17, but that hasn’t stopped ESPN NBA guru Chad Ford from churning out mock drafts on the reg. Ford’s latest has all three Kentucky players who have declared going in the top sixteen, with Jamal Murray sneaking into the top three behind Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram:

3. Boston Celtics: Jamal Murray

14. Chicago Bulls: Tyler Ulis

16. Boston Celtics: Skal Labissiere

Ford writes that the Celtics need to add a consistent shooter and, if their placement holds, could choose between Murray and Buddy Hield. Although Ford believes Hield is a better player now, “Murray is three years younger and can play point guard. And the good news is that he’s NBA ready from the get go.” Via traded picks, the Celtics could also pick up Skal at #16, which Ford says “seems like a really good fit” given Brad Stevens’ track record with stretch bigs and the proven success of the Celtics’ D-League franchise.

But really, would there be anything more perfect than Tyler Ulis going to the Bulls? Not only did Ulis play high school ball in Chicago, he’d be the backup to another Calipari great, Derrick Rose, who desperately, desperately needs a good backup.

Can we skip the actual draft and just go with this mock?
