Kentucky Football Will Face #22 Clemson In Gator Bowl Rapid Reaction

The first transfer portal window of the offseason is not yet one week old, but departing players are beginning to find new college football homes. The first former Kentucky Wildcat to make a decision went on record on Sunday afternoon.

Jamarius Dinkins will be staying in the Power Five. The Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge product is headed to the Big Ten after committing to Purdue.

The former three-star recruit took a redshirt season in 2021 before beginning to earn some snaps late in 2022. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound interior player recorded nine tackles and a sack in 65 defensive snaps. Dinkins returned as a redshirt sophomore in 2023 and recorded nine tackles and four pressures in 89 defensive snaps.

Jamarius Dinkins entered the transfer portal shortly after the 2023 season landed. That transfer recruitment ended quickly as the SEC defensive line transfer committed to play for second-year head coach Ryan Walters and Kevin Kane at Purdue.
