2013 Kentucky target and rumored Kentucky lean James Young went off for 34 points this morning in front of John Calipari, Bill Self and Tom Izzo, among others. Young was 5-6 from three point range to lead his team to a 80-76 win.
A few interesting tidbits came out this morning as well, such as recruiting guru Evan Daniels stating that he believes there is a high probability that Young will pick Kentucky over Michigan State. Daniels believes the key will be getting Young on campus in August.
Young also told ZagsBlog that "I'm just looking for my best college, the one that's going to get me one-and-done." That doesn't smell anything like Michigan State to me. Young also mentioned the possibility of getting a monster recruiting class together at Kentucky that might include the Harrison twins and Julius Randle and/or Andrew Wiggins. "Great class, I don't think we can be stopped. Honestly if we get that class together, I think we'll be tough to beat."
In fairness to Michigan State's chances, Young has mentioned the possibility of a package deal to Michigan State with Wes Clark.
