Janet Jackson, New Edition performing Derby night concert at Lynn Family Stadium
Derby Day in Louisville just got even bigger. Janet Jackson — Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty — and New Edition will perform at Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday, May 7 following the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs.
The event, called the 85° West Music Festival, will be the first-ever concert at Lynn Family Stadium, home of Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC. According to WLKY, Jackson will play her greatest hits and all six original members of New Edition — Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ronnie Devoe, and Ricky Bell — will perform. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, March 25 at the Lynn Family Stadium box office and seatgeek.com. Prices range from $35.98 to $375.50.
Jackson’s Black Diamond World Tour was supposed to come to the KFC Yum Center in August 2020 but was canceled due to the pandemic. Her State of the World Tour came to the Yum Center and Rupp Arena in 2017.
