Jeremy Flax entered fall camp in August in a clear position battle at right tackle. The Kentucky veteran held off USC transfer Courtland Ford and entered the season as a starter. Flax went on to become one of Kentucky’s best lineman in 2023.

The Detroit native and former junior college transfer is now cashing in on that big season. After receiving a Senior Bowl invite after a strong performance at the Hula Bowl, Flax will also be heading to Indianapolis at the end of February for the NFL Scouting Combine.

Flax’s busy month will get started this week when reports to Mobile for the Senior Bowl. At the top draft showcase event, the Kentucky tackle will be joined by teammates Trevin Wallace, Ray Davis, and Andru Phillips. Practices at the University of South Alabama begin on Monday with an exhibition game to occur on Saturday.

Jeremy Flax signed with Kentucky during the 2020 recruiting cycle and took a redshirt his first season on campus. The Detroit native was a rotational tackle in 2021 under offensive line coach Eric Wolford before earning a starting role under Zach Yenser in 2022 and 2023. After a very difficult season in 2022 where Flax gave up 22 pressures and seven sacks, Flax took a step forward this past season.

The tackle earned a 62.4 PFF grade with his pass production taking a jump forward. Flax allowed on 12 pressures and two sacks in 2023 showing real growth in protection.

Jeremy Flax is now in position to become Kentucky’s sixth offensive line draft pick in the last six years. The program produced one draft pick (Larry Warford) from 1994-2018. Kentucky’s point of attack play has taken a step back in recent seasons but there is still some talent in Lexington.

Justin Rogers will join Jeremy Flax in Indianapolis

Justin Rogers was in the same 2020 signing class at Kentucky with Jeremy Flax. Another Detroit native, Rogers was a top-100 recruit who came to Lexington with high expectations. Rogers spent three seasons in the program playing 715 defensive snaps and recording 61 tackles and five tackles for loss. Following the loss to Iowa in the Music City Bowl, Rogers entered the transfer portal and landed at Auburn.

After recording 17 tackles and two tackles for loss in one season on the Plains, Rogers has entered his name in the NFL Draft. The former high four-star recruit will be joining Flax in Indianapolis.
