National recruiting expert Evan Daniels has reported Sunday evening that JJ Traynor will be taking an unofficial visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on October 18th. On top of this visit to UK, he’s also scheduled unofficial visits to Louisville on August 26th and Cincinnati on August 29th.

Traynor has been gaining a ton of national interest this summer and coming onto the scene strong for the start of his senior year at Bardstown High School. He’s received offers from several relatively local schools including Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Western Kentucky, but is now drawing interest from a lot of bigger schools outside the area as well, with schools like Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech all reaching out, according to Daniels.

While not currently ranked by 247Sports, Traynor’s big summer will be changing that sooner rather than later, says Daniels.

Traynor will be rated as a four-star prospect on 247Sports when the 2020 Top247 is updated later this week.

Going from unranked to a four-star recruit is a big jump and if Traynor continues on that trajectory he’ll be one of the higher touted recruits from the state of Kentucky in the last few years.

You’ll see some more info on Traynor in this week’s Insider Notes from Jack Pilgrim so stay tuned.
