During his radio call-in show on Wednesday night, the Kentucky Wildcats head basketball coach told Tom Leach that the mystery program he was trying to squeeze into his schedule for Thursday night was none other than the Gonzaga Bulldogs, who are currently undefeated at 24-0 and ranked as the consensus top overall team in the nation. Calipari prefaced it by saying there isn't a team in the country that scares him. "The game that I tried to get and we almost got done was Gonzaga," Calipari said. "We were going to shove Gonzaga into the middle of our schedule. Mark Few [Gonzaga's head coach] and I talked--I didn't say I was going to do this publicly but I thought it would help them and help us. And our kids were absolutely ecstatic. They wanted to do it, we just couldn't pull it off." Unfortunately, the game never came to fruition and Kentucky will end its season this Saturday against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Wildcats are coming off a loss on Tuesday night to the Ole Miss Rebels and currently sit on an 8-15 overall record and a 7-9 mark in conference play.
