Most of the national media doesn't consider Enes Kanter a former Kentucky player. Because the NCAA ruled him ineligibile, Enes didn't play a game for Kentucky, but he still practiced with the team every day during the 2010-2011 season, and in the eyes of Kentucky fans, will always be a Cat.
Apparently, during the Draft roundups this morning,
ESPN hasn't been including Enes in UK's list of draft picks in the past five years, and it's making John Calipari VERY ANGRY. Cal posted this on social media moments ago:
"I wish ESPN would stop saying we have had 18 draft picks over the last five years when we’ve had 19. They keep leaving off Enes Kanter. Enes was a part of our program. He was a student at UK, he practiced with us every day and he was evaluated at Kentucky. STOP!"
YEAH.
