Jones Comes Off The Bench: Cats Roll
Just a couple days after the most disappointing weekend in Kentucky Sports history (EVER!) the men’s basketball team rights the ship and stomped a pretty awful Auburn team 78-54. Terrence Jones came off the bench to set the UK freshmen scoring record with 35 and finally looked a bit more like he did early in the season – hitting threes and scoring down low. Whether that came from the bench motivation or Drew Franklin’s twitter jinx, there’s no telling. The Cats got up early and never looked back – though did look a little bored at times late first half and early second half. We’ll be back with more (including the Matt Jones Call In Show,) but for now – enjoy Kentucky Basketball.
