Former Kentucky WR Jordan Anthony is becoming a track superstar

Former Kentucky wide receiver Jordan Anthony is the rare athlete who has played football in the SEC and won legitimate hardware in track. The Tylertown (Miss.) High product joined a select group over the weekend.
The two-way star at Arkansas clocked a 9.75 in the 100m quarterfinals at the 2025 NCAA outdoor track and field championships over the weekend. That was the ninth-fastest time in world history.
Only 11 sprinters have clocked 9.75 or faster in the 100m. This was the second-fastest time ever in NCAA competition.
Jordan Anthony began his college career at Kentucky in 2022 and earned a redshirt on the gridiron after only appearing in two games. Anthony made a bigger impact on UK’s track and field team where he broke the program’s freshman record in 60m (6.55) and 100m (10.16). The Missisisppi native earned All-American honors. Anthony then entered the transfer portal where he landed at Texas A&M.

After spending one season playing for Jimbo Fisher in 2023, Anthony entered the portal again and landed at Arkansas. As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Anthony recorded eight receptions and 111 yards while playing 205 offensive snaps for offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino. Anthony then made his way back on the track where he is again making history.
The former four-star football recruit appeared to always have a bright future as a sprinter. Jordan Anthony could be well on his way to making an Olympic team.
