Blue-chip wide receiver Karmello English has set commitment date

Kentucky is currently in the middle of a huge recruiting weekend with numerous 2023 prospects on campus. The Wildcats are hosting multiple blue-chip prospects as the coaching staff hopes to make a big splash.

During his official visit with the Wildcats, Karmello English has announced that his commitment will be coming very soon. On his Instagram story on Friday night, the top-150 prospect has released that he will be announcing his decision on July 2.

Kentucky, as of now, is the only official visit that the four-star wideout has scheduled. Alabama and Auburn are seen as the top competition for the Wildcats in this recruitment. Karmello English is the No. 130 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

English has taken over a handful of visits to see Bryan Harsin’s program as the Auburn campus is just over 30 miles away from Phenix City (Ala.) Central High. However, the Wildcats have gotten the talented wideout on campus twice in the last two months. Wide receivers coach Scott Woodward is gaining ground in this recruiting battle.
