Kelenna Azubuike (like Heshimu Evans' name) means Warrior!!!!

Well we knew it was only a matter of time. If you have been reading news reports from the NBA Developmental League (and you would be forgiven if you have not), then you know that Kelenna Azubuike has been lighting up the NBDL this year and has been its leading scorer. All the traits that Kaz harnessed so well at UK.....his amazing athleticism, strong penetration ability, solid shooting and great defensive effort have made him the star of the NBDL and today he got his just reward when the Golden State Warriors signed him to a contract. I have always been a fan of Kaz, beginning with his amazing dunk against Vanderbilt which still sends chills down my back. Azubuike was a workhorse at UK and I firmly believe that last season would have been much different had he come back (although it might have meant that Joe Crawford would be playing in East Lansing at this point). Kaz left early for the pros for reasons that unfortunately had little to do with basketball and one hopes he becomes the NBA star at Golden State under Don Nelson, that we all knew that he could be. In other news, when hearing of this news, Jerry Tipton decided that it was time for another story about Azubuike's dad being in prison.....you know, just for old times sake. Go KAZ!!!!
