The Kentucky baseball team will have to wait another day to begin postseason play. The SEC Tournament has experienced one weather delay after another in Hoover. Even though the Bat Cats were not set to play until late Tuesday night, the SEC has officially postponed UK’s opening game to Wednesday.

Nick Mingione’s Kentucky baseball team will open SEC Tournament play against Auburn, a team it defeated twice last weekend. When that will happen remains unclear. That is up to the weather. Stay tuned to the SEC Network to see just how many games can be played Tuesday night as baseball teams try to dodge the elements at the Hoover Met.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast is not improving. D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers speculates the league may change the format to single elimination just to be able to complete the entire tournament.
