Kentucky Defeats Northwestern 5-4

The Wildcats took on Northwestern at Melissa Cook Stadium during the first round of the NCAA South Bend Regional. The talented team conquered a 5-4 victory in order to advance to the second round of the winner’s bracket.
The Cats played a notable offensive game. Nikki Sagermann set the bar with a run, a hit, and two RBI. Griffin Joiner also contributed one hit, one run, and one RBI. Kara Howard and Maisie Steed each provided a run and a hit, and Sylver Samuel added one run and two hits. Rachael Metzger also got a hit and a RBI.
Kentucky will play Ball State tomorrow at 12 p.m. in an attempt to advance.
