Kentucky Derby releases infield seats that will only cost you an arm and a leg

by: Nick Roush03/22/21@RoushKSR
Churchill Downs is releasing more reserved Kentucky Derby tickets to the public at a steep cost. Friday, March 26 at noon you can begin purchasing two-day tickets to the Oaks and Derby with views from the grandstand, first turn or an infield box that seat up to six. It will only set you back at a minimum of $600 for the all-inclusive ticket that gives you access to food and drinks (yes, the alcoholic ones too). [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="900"] @PaulMmiles840[/caption] [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="900"] @PaulMiles840[/caption] As of today, these are the cheapest tickets available to watch the Fastest Two Minutes in Sports. During a normal year, it's $150 for two-day general admission access. That's only a $450 difference. Now all you need is a stimulus check to experience the Kentucky Derby! As an annual infield patron, I understand that abiding by Covid rules and regulations is difficult. There must be a little give and take. If this is all they're giving to the public, CDI is just going to take a ton of money. Do what's right, Churchill Downs: open up the infield for those who enjoy horse racing more than one weekend a year.
