Kentucky was not only one of the top teams in the SEC, but all of college football in terms of total selections in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Finishing with six total draft picks, UK came in tied for No. 8 in the nation among total draft selections, along with No. 5 overall in the SEC.

The only SEC programs ahead of Kentucky? Alabama (10), Georgia (9), Florida (8) and LSU (7), with Ohio State (10), Notre Dame (9) and Michigan (8) being the only other schools ahead of UK.

Kentucky set a school record for six total picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, with the class including linebacker Jamin Davis (first round by the Washington Football Team), cornerback Kelvin Joseph (second round by the Cowboys), nose guard Quinton Bohanna (sixth round by the Cowboys), cornerback Brandin Echols (sixth round by the Jets), Landon Young (sixth round by the Saints) and Phil Hoskins (seventh round by the Carolina Panthers). The six picks are tied for the fourth-most in school history and the most since 1979 (eight) and the most for Kentucky since the current seven-round draft era began in 1994. This also marks the second time in the last three years that Kentucky has had five or more draft picks (five in 2019).
