June is a busy time over at the Kentucky Football facilities as the Wildcats return to campus for summer workouts and the coaches host several summer camps for middle and high school level talent.

Summer camp season began last weekend with Kentucky’s Sunday Night Lights camp featuring hundreds of high school football prospects receiving instruction from Mark Stoops and Kentucky’s coaching staff. Yesterday a second camp day was held at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility with Tuesday morning’s Wildcat One Day camp, again for football players grade 9-12 and some JUCO participants.

Every young football player who attends these camps hopes to make a big enough splash to catch the coaching staff’s eye for recruiting interest. Yesterday, one of those campers made a defensive play that caught more than a few eyes around Kentucky’s practice field; the play was seen all the way up in Bristol, Connecticut, where last night the replay was featured on SportsCenter.

Luca DiLorenzo, an unranked Class of 2023 prospect out of Wheeling, West Virginia, went viral for an interception he made in Kentucky’s camp and the OBJ-like grab landed DiLorenzo at No. 3 on last night’s SportsCenter Top 10.

See the clip that went viral and the video of the #SCTop10 appearance below.

You can see more of Luca DiLorenzo on his Hudl page.
