The Big Blue Wall is already taking shape for the 2024 season.

On Tuesday afternoon, Kentucky football’s starting left tackle, Marques Cox, announced that he will return to Lexington for his seventh season of college eligibility. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound lineman out of Peoria, Illinois announced the news on social media in hilarious fashion, using a famous clip from The Wolf of Wall Street that features some *Not Safe For Work* language.

“First and foremost, I want to give my thanks to BBN for their support of our team this season,” Cox wrote. “To my family, friends and coaches, none of this would have been possible without your constant belief in me as a person and player.

“After much consideration with my family, friends and coaches, I have decided that it is in my best interest to return for my seventh year of eligibility. I’m not leaving yet, BBN

Cox is the second Kentucky offensive lineman to announce his return for another season with the Wildcats. He started all 12 games this season for UK. Nicholasville, KY native Eli Cox, who has split time at both right guard and center, also plans to come back for one more year in Lexington as a super senior, which he announced earlier on Tuesday.

After spending his first five seasons at Northern Illinois (2018-22), Marques Cox transferred to Kentucky as a mid-year enrollee following the 2022 season. He immediately became an impact starter on the Big Blue Wall, posting a solid Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 68.4 in 2023, which ranked 158th out of 646 qualified players in the nation. Cox was a low three-star recruit from the 2018 class out of Peoria (IL) High School before landing at Nothern Illinois, but he has outplayed that ranking throughout his college career.

BBN, Marques Cox isn’t ******* leaving.
