Kentucky High School Football Week 2 scoreboard update

Week 2 of the Kentucky high school football season wrapped up on Saturday night with a couple of Top 25 matchups. In total, there were six games over the weekend that featured two of KSR’s Top 25 teams, with the higher-ranked team coming out on top in five of the six. Frederick Douglass’ loss to Trinity was the lone “upset” of the week as the Broncos came up short 23-13 in the KSR Game of the Week.

For the most part, Week 2 didn’t feature many surprises. The favored school beat its opponent far more often than not. The most shocking outcome came on Saturday as No. 20 Pikeville was smashed by unranked Johnson Central 37-15. Elsewhere, top-ranked Boyle County cruised against No. 16 Bryan Station, 48-8, as the Rebels will likely continue to hold down the state’s No. 1 spot going into Week 3.
