Kentucky is No. 1 for 2018-2019, according to Jeff Goodman

by:TJ Walker09/11/18
Way to go, Jeff Goodman! Now at WatchStadium.com, the former Fox Sports and ESPN employee released his top 25 for the 2018-2019 season and he notched the Cats at No. 1. That's a fair and accurate write-up in my opinion. The Cats are loaded at every position and actually have a good deal of experience, something that isn't said about every John Calipari team. But I wouldn't have been livid if Goodman put Kansas or Duke at No. 1. Both teams are also loaded and the Jayhawks also have depth and experience. Duke isn't as experienced or deep, but will have the most talented starting five. I think UK is the best of the three, but in the preseason there's no shame in thinking it's Duke or Kansas. It's also fun those three teams will be in Indy on college basketball's opening night. UK will play seven teams in Goodman's top 25 (including five in the top 10). Goodman ranked four SEC team in the top 25. See the complete rankings, breakdown and analysis HERE. Jeff, if you're just trying to improve your seat at Rupp Arena you're well on your way! (although they've moved everyone to the second level now) [mobile_ad]
