Good news, Big Blue Nation. You can now get more bang for your buck if you use your buck to place a futures bet on Kentucky Basketball. With Oscar Tshiebwe back, it may be a safer investment than crypto or the stock market right now.

The downside, though, is we can no longer brag about Kentucky being the preseason betting favorite to win the NCAA Tournament because, in the latest update to the NCAA Tournament betting board, your University of Kentucky Wildcats slid down to third on the list.

Up top, Gonzaga and Houston moved from 20/1 and 12/1 odds to 8/1 and 10/1 odds, respectively. For the Zags, Drew Timme’s return to college basketball is the reason behind the Bulldogs’ drastic change in the June update.

Kentucky moved from the betting favorite at 8/1 to 12/1.

These numbers come from BetOnline:

Gonzaga………….. 8/1
Houston………….. 10/1
Kentucky……….. 12/1
North Carolina…. 12/1
Duke………………. 14/1
Kansas……………. 14/1
UCLA……………… 14/1
Arkansas…………. 16/1
Baylor……………… 16/1
