Kentucky only a 27.5 point favorite in home opener

With only 65 days before college football’s opening Saturday, oddsmakers think they know enough to release the early lines for many of those Week 1 games, including the home opener in Kroger Field.

Kentucky hosts Louisiana-Monroe at noon in UK’s first game with fans since Lynn Bowden ran wild on Louisville in 2019, and the opening line at BetOnline.ag has Kentucky as a 27.5 point favorite over the visiting Warhawks. This is the first line on record for that game, to my best knowledge (and I like to gamble).

So what do we think, UK fans? There is a ton of excitement around the upcoming season, but a four-touchdown cover in the first game with a new QB?
