Kentucky has picked up a commitment from yet another Australian punter. This evening, Wilson Berry of Melbourne, AU announced his commitment to Kentucky for the 2021 season. "Excited to announce I have committed to the University of Kentucky starting 2021," Berry announced on his Twitter page. "Indebted to the outstanding tutelage and guidance by Nathan Chapman and John Smith of Prokick Australia. Grateful to Coach Louie Matsakis for the opportunity to be a Kentucky Wildcat!" According to Berry, current UK punter Max Duffy, along with his brother, current Steelers punter Jordan Berry, helped him in the recruiting process that ultimately landed him in Lexington. "Thanks to Max Duffy and Jordan Berry for their help and local knowledge. Impossible without the support of my family, friends and everyone that has impacted my development along the journey." https://twitter.com/WilsonBerry61/status/1272682707894571008?s=20 Prokick Australia also developed Duffy, who won the Ray Guy Award for the nation's top punter this past year. Following Wilson's commitment, Kentucky's current star punter congratulated the future Wildcat on his decision and told him to embrace the questions about kangaroos he'd have to answer once he got to the states. https://twitter.com/Max__Duffy/status/1272694551560556545?s=20 While highlights are hard to come by with the newest Wildcat, there is a clip of him doing a "salute to the bumblebee" in May of 2019. https://twitter.com/KySportsRadio/status/1272692146852843520?s=20 Welcome home, Mr. Berry.
