The last big moment of the pre-draft process for Kentucky prospects will occur at Pro Day. We now have a date locked in for that event.

The University of Kentucky has announced that Pro Day will take place on Friday, March 24 at the Nutter Indoor Field House with a start time of 10 a.m. ET. Expect scouts and some general managers from numerous NFL franchises to be in attendance.

Let’s dive into the details of the event.

SEC Network, NFL Network will both be in the house

In recent years, Kentucky’s Pro Day has been put behind an ESPN+ paywall while NFL national media has stayed away from Lexington. That won’t be the case this season.

We have Will Levis to thank for that.

The SEC Network will be live with former Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers starting at 11:30 a.m. ET. The NFL Network will also be on site. Behind their NFL+ paywall, David Carr, Stacey Dales, and Ian Rapoport will all be in Lexington covering the event.

Pro Day is not open to the public, but there will be options on how to consume the event this season.

Kentucky will have 11 players participating

Only four Wildcats received invites to the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. They will be joined by seven more players at Pro Day.

  • Tyrell Ajian
  • Colin Goodfellow
  • Jacquez Jones
  • Will Levis
  • Tashawn Manning
  • Chris Rodriguez Jr.
  • Matt Ruffolo
  • Keidron Smith
  • DeAndre Square
  • Carrington Valentine
  • Jordan Wright

After shining at the NFLPA Bowl and earning a late invitation to the Senior Bowl, Keidron Smith was a surprise scratch at the combine. That will make Pro Day a huge event for the super senior cornerback.

If Smith can record some good athletic testing scores, that should lock up a Day 3 pick for the Ole Miss transfer. The cornerback will be a great fit for any zone-heavy scheme and has improved his stock as much as any other Kentucky player during the pre-draft process.

Full Schedule

We are unsure if Will Levis or any of the other Kentucky players at the combine will compete in the complete athletic testing circuit at Pro Day. However, the option will be on the table. There is a full slate of testing starting at 11:15 a.m. ET.

KSR has the full schedule:

  • 10:30 a.m.: Measurements
  • 11:15 a.m.: Vertical, broad jump, bench press
  • Noon-2:00 p.m.: 40-yard dash, short shuttle, 3-cone, 60-yard shuttle, position drills

Expect all eyes to be on Will Levis when the first-round prospect goes through drills to end the pro day. KSR will be in the house along with multiple television networks to provide full coverage.

The draft season is heating up.
