Here. We. Go. No. 6 seed Kentucky opens NCAA Tournament play vs. No. 11 seed Providence Friday night at 7:10 p.m. ET in Greensboro. The game will air on CBS with Ian Eagle, Jim Sparnarkel, and Evan Washburn on the call. Should the Cats win, they’ll play the winner of No. 3 Kansas State/No. 14 Montana State on Sunday, time TBD. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.

Here are all of the tip times for the first round (Thursday and Friday):

Kentucky opened as a 3.5-point favorite. Like the Cats, Providence is 21-11 this season. Of course, the Friars’ star player is former Cat Bryce Hopkins. The sophomore forward is averaging 16.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He hasn’t been shy about his decision to transfer from Kentucky, telling The Athletic that he felt like he was “under a microscope” in Lexington and “was playing like a robot.” The Selection Committee may claim they don’t seed the tournament based on storylines, but this is a juicy one.
