Kentucky RB Target SirPaul Cheeks Eyes Decision Date

It’s closing time for the summer recruiting season. Another target who officially visited Kentucky in June has a set a decision date.
SirPaul “Jesus in Cleats” Cheeks became a household name for Big Blue Nation when he received an offer from the Wildcats, for obvious reasons. Shortly after Jay Boulware created the connection, Cheeks took a trip to Lexington.
On Sunday, he shared that he will be announcing a final college decision on Tuesday, July 15. West Virginia and Virginia are the other finalists. The Mountaineers and Hoos also hosted Cheeks for an official visit.
Cheeks is considered a three-star prospect and the No. 1,140 overall rising high school senior in the country, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Kentucky already has one running back committed in the 2026 class, Delvecchio “Deuce” Alston II. Cheeks is a much different player than Alston. He’s undersized at 5-foot-9, 190 pounds. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in speed, clocking a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash and a 10.63 in the 100 meters.
During his 2024 campaign at Varina (VA), Cheeks totaled just shy of 1,500 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns. He also picked off six passes and returned three for touchdowns. Will Kentucky look for a little lightning to add to the thunder in the 2026 running back room? We’ll soon find out if Jesus in Cleats is making the move to Lexington.
