Kentucky Basketball’s 2023-24 non-conference schedule is slowly leaking out. The Cats will host St. Joe’s at Rupp Arena on Monday, Nov. 20, according to St. Joe’s website. It will be the third meeting between the two schools, the first coming in 1939 and the second in the 1997 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. The Cats won both, the latter en route to an NCAA Tournament Runner-Up finish.

St. Joe’s finished the 2022-23 season 16-17, 8-10 in Atlantic 10 play. The Hawks are entering their fifth season under head coach Billy Lange, who took over when Phil Martelli was fired in 2019 after 24 seasons. St. Joe’s hasn’t been to an NCAA Tournament since 2016. You may remember the Hawks made it to the Elite Eight in 2004, led by Jameer Nelson and Delonte West, who went on to become NBA 1st Round Draft Picks.

Earlier this week, we found out Kentucky will also host UNC Wilmington on Saturday, Dec. 2. John Calipari started his college playing career at UNC Wilmington before transferring to Clarion. The current Seahawks finished the 2022-23 season with a 24-10 overall record and 12-6 in conference play inside the Colonial Athletic Association, losing in the league tournament finals to No. 2 seed Charleston for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
