Due to poor weather conditions in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Kentucky softball team will have to wait another day before tackling the SEC Tournament.

Weather delays throughout the course of Wednesday caused some schedule changes to the bracket. The No. 9 Wildcats were initially set to take on No. 8 Florida at 8:00 p.m. EST in the final outing of the day, but the game was ultimately postponed roughly 30 minutes after the expected first pitch.

Now, the ‘Cats will be forced to play Florida on Thursday with a start time still to be determined, which is expected to be announced by the end of Wednesday, according to the SEC.

[UPDATE (9:52 p.m.): Kentucky will now play Florida on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. EST on the SEC Network]

Kentucky vs. Florida was supposed to be the final game of the day, but instead, the tournament committee has decided that the third game between Missouri vs. Alabama will close out Wednesday’s action.

The game preceding Missouri vs. Alabama — the second of the day, which featured South Carolina vs. Texas A&M — has also been hit with a delay and hopes to wrap up by the end of Wednesday night. The weather delay began around 5:05 p.m. EST with the game in the top of the eighth inning.
