Kentucky softball's full SEC 2023 schedule is now official

As the Kentucky softball program begins to wrap up the 2022 fall schedule, we now know who the Wildcats will face once the SEC schedule begins in the spring.

On Thursday afternoon, the Southeastern Conference league office announced the full 2023 softball schedule. Kentucky’s SEC season will consist of eight, three-game series with four series coming at home at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington and the remaining four on the road. Each program will receive one bye week. UK’s first intraconference opponent is on the road against Missouri the weekend of March 10-12 with the final coming at home against Florida the weekend of May 5-7.

First pitch times and TV designations will be announced at a later date. The 2023 SEC Championship will take be hosted by Arkansas this season and take place in Fayetteville.

Kentucky softball is currently in the midst of its 2022 fall campaign, which began on Sept. 18 with a 15-5 win over EKU and ends with the annual Big Blue Boo! matchup against in-state rival Louisville at home on Oct. 29. UK is currently 3-0 through the now six-game fall slate, winning all three games by a combined score of 31-6.

The ‘Cats were originally supposed to play two games this Saturday, however, those have been canceled as of Friday afternoon. Kentucky will now play Dayton on the road this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.

March 31 – April 2 – at Georgia
April 7-9 – at Ole Miss
April 14-16 – TENNESSEE
April 21-23 – ARKANSAS
April 28-30 – at Mississippi State
May 5-7 – FLORIDA
