This is the highest recruiting class in program history. This is Head Coach Craig Skinner's 8th top 20 ranking, but the first time he has been able to crack the top 5. The class is headed by the number 4 player in the nation, Madison Lilley. Lilley comes to Kentucky from Overland Park Kansas, where she was the Gatorade State Player of the Year, Under Armor All-American and many more. The class also features Avery Skinner as the No. 32 ranked recruit, Gabby Curry as No. 46 and Kendyl Paris as No. 81. Skinner post this message on Twitter:
"As I think about recruiting. We have to give a ton of credit to the players we have in this program & the culture that has been established. Over the years we have worked diligently to bring in high character people who want to achieve at the highest level and create opportunities for success. These players give great effort to be their best every day. They are passionate, driven, and selfless people who care about this university and their teammates. When recruits come to visit, they see and feel that this is where they belong. As a staff we need to thank all of our former and current players for believing in us and knowing that UKVB is a "life" decision. #WhynotKentucky?"
Kentucky Volleyball opens their season up on August 16th with a high powered exhibition match against WKU. The Lady Toppers have won 3-straight Conference USA tournaments and are heavy favorites to win a fourth this season. The regular season opens on August 25th against Arkansas State. Both matches will be at Memorial Coliseum.
