On Monday, Mark Stoops said he’s looking forward to having a big crowd in the stands for the 7 p.m. kickoff.

“That would be very good for our team. I think our team greatly appreciates that. They feel that energy. It’s nice that we’re kicking off in the evening, could be a little cooler. Hopefully, get a great night. I really appreciate the fan base, and the season tickets are up, and the student tickets are sold out. We’re expecting big crowds and we greatly appreciate that. You always hear me talk about that. I always appreciate it. I know the sacrifice they make. I can promise you that our team has worked exceptionally hard to go play well.”

Gameday Need-To-Knows

If you are going to the game, some things to keep in mind:

  • All tickets are mobile – As in years past, every ticket to Kroger Field must be accessed through your phone. You can manage tickets through TicketMaster, the UK Athletics app or by visiting UKathletics.com/MyUKAccount. Download the tickets to your iPhone’s wallet before you go to avoid any WiFi delays. If you are desperate for WiFi, there are WiFi Help Zones outside the UK ticket office and at gates 1, 4, 9 and 12.
  • Clear Bag Policy in effect
  • The Lextran Gameday Shuttle WILL stop by KSBar – The smartest play of the day is catching the Lextran Gameday Shuttle at KSBar. The shuttle starts two hours before kickoff and ends one hour after the game. It costs $1 each way.
  • Cat Walk at 4:45 p.m. – Gather near Talbott Todd Way and Gate 1 to cheer the Cats on as they arrive approximately 2:15 before kickoff.
