Kentucky WBB offers 2025 5-star wing Lauren Hurst

Kenny Brooks keeps rolling out the offers. He’s been a busy guy since arriving on the scene in Lexington just a couple of weeks ago, and he just keeps adding to his wishlist of future players.
Late Wednesday night, 6-foot-2 2025 five-star wing Lauren Hurst announced on social media that, after a conversation with Brooks, Kentucky had offered her. Hurts hails from Cleveland, TN — the hometown of one of the greatest to ever don the blue and white, Rhyne Howard.
Hurst, 6-foot-2, is the No. 31 prospect in the junior class, according to ESPN, and is the final five-star prospect on the list. The thing with Hurst, however, is that she is one of the best volleyball players in America as well. In fact, she has been named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in volleyball two years in a row now.
Of course, back on the basketball side, she’s just as good. Hurst averaged 14.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game this season at Cleveland (TN) High School. Additionally, her 1.7 blocks per game ranked in the top 15 in the state of Tennessee.

Hurst previously took an unofficial visit in July 2023 to Kentucky back when Kyra Elzy was still head coach. Elzy offered Hurst as well. The high-profile prospect holds offers from UNC, Indiana, NC State, Ole Miss, and several others. Brooks also offered Hurst at Virginia Tech when he was still in Blacksburg.
Lauren Hurst will be a hot commodity in the recruiting world. Can Kenny Brooks continue to make magic happen in the Bluegrass?
