Kentucky WBB remains a 6-seed in latest ESPN Bracketology

In the last ESPN Bracketology, Kentucky came in as a six-seed, and after a 5-0 start and a No. 14 national ranking, you’d think that Kentucky would move up at least one seed line, right? Nope. The Cats are still a six-seed in the newest Bracketology.
Kenny Brooks‘ team was placed in the Birmingham region, where they would play the winner of 11-seeds Kansas and Penn State in the first round in College Park. If the Cats were to advance, they would then most likely face three-seed Maryland in the Round of 32.
Notre Dame (1), Texas (2), Maryland (3), Kansas State (4) and Alabama (5) are the teams above Kentucky in the Birmingham region. Not a very good draw for the Cats, to say the least.

In total, the SEC has 10 teams projected to make the NCAA Tournament — tied for the second most of any conference (Big Ten has 11, ACC also has 10). Illinois, who Kentucky plays on Wednesday, is also a projected six-seed. Tennessee and Nebraska are the other six-seeds in the latest Bracketology.
