Though his knowledge was sparse and his research was far from thorough, Evan’s short and insufficient player profiles were an integral part of Kentucky’s success that season. UK finished with seven wins, including the opener at Louisville and a 25-19 victory in the Liberty Bowl. Kentucky hasn’t won a bowl game since. Brown recruited Borden at Texas Tech and then convinced him to pick the Cats over the Red Raiders when came to Lexington. He enrolled at UK prior to the 2013 spring semester to get a head start on football. Before He Got Here Borden spent his freshman year at Texas NAIA school Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where he played defensive end. He was named second-team all-conference tight end as a sophomore at Kilgore College last fall. He caught 11 passes for 181 yards, a 16.5-yard average, and four touchdowns. Things He's Probably Tired Of Hearing "Dude, your dad is Sting?!" Something You Didn't Know About Him Borden played eight-on-eight football his first three years of high school at Santa Clarita Christian outside Los Angeles, before moving to Texas his senior year. He was Santa Clarita's quarterback in eight-man ball. Something We Made Up About Him He thinks professional wrestling is real. Unfair NFL Comparison Jacob Tamme, Denver Broncos Outlook for 2013 Borden did a lot of bouncing back and forth from tight end and slot receiver during spring ball and he can expect to do the same throughout the season. Neal Brown said Borden will give the offense immediate help in the passing game.
